What Clear Financial Company collects through this website, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have, in plain language.
In plain language
- Your estimate is worked out in your browser. You can see it without giving a name, email or phone.
- If you ask for a copy, we collect your first name, your email and, only if you choose, a phone number.
- Consent to calls or texts is optional, unchecked until you tick it, and names Clear Financial Company only.
- We do not sell what you type into this website or pass it to other debt relief companies.
- Google Analytics runs only if you accept it in the cookie settings. There are no advertising cookies and no session recording.
- You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and stop contact at any time.
What does this policy cover?
This policy covers information collected through this website and through calls you make to the number on it. Clear Financial LLC does business as Clear Financial Company, and "we" and "us" mean that company.
If you enroll in a program, your enrollment documents also apply to you. Where we enroll clients, and the rules we follow, are on licensing and disclosures.
What do you tell us through the estimate form?
The form asks three questions, then shows your estimate. The estimate is calculated in your browser, and we do not receive your answers unless you ask us for a copy.
- How much unsecured debt you have, as a dollar amount you choose.
- The kinds of debt, such as credit cards or medical bills.
- Your state, so we can tell you whether we enroll clients there.
- Only if you ask for a copy: your first name, your email and, if you choose, your phone number.
- Whether you ticked the consent box, and the exact consent wording you saw.
With a request, we also record the estimate you saw, the page you sent it from and the time.
If we do not enroll clients in your state, the form asks only for an email address, so we can tell you once if that changes. Nothing else is collected, and you are never treated as a sales lead.
What is collected automatically when you visit?
Like any website, ours runs on a hosting service. Its servers receive basic technical details with each visit: your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for (including any amount carried in its web address) and the time. These records help keep the site working and secure.
When you send a request through the form, we record your IP address, your browser type, the page and the time with it, as a record of your request and of your consent choice.
Anything else runs only as described under cookies and analytics, and analytics only if you accept it.
What cookies and analytics does this site use?
On your first visit a small card asks whether you allow analytics. Until you choose, no analytics runs and Google receives nothing from this site. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
- Always on, because the site needs it: one cookie, cb_consent, that remembers your choice for 12 months. It holds only the choice and the date.
- Always on, on the form only: a security check from Cloudflare (Turnstile) on the step that asks for your details, to tell people from automated spam.
- Only if you accept: Google Analytics 4, from Google LLC, to count visits and see which pages help people.
- Never: advertising or remarketing tags, advertising cookies, social media pixels, session recording or heatmap tools.
If you accept, Google receives your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages you view here and a few site events, and sets cookies whose names begin with _ga, which can last up to two years. We turn off Google signals and advertising features, so this data is not used to show you ads.
The site events are: a tap on a call link, which step of the estimate form you reached, an estimate shown, a request sent, and a state we do not serve. They carry your state and your debt only as a broad range. Google never receives your name, email, phone number or anything else you type.
If you reject, or close the card, Google Analytics is not loaded and any _ga cookies from an earlier visit are removed. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a rejection. The site works the same either way. See Google’s privacy policy (Google, opens in a new tab) and Cloudflare’s Turnstile notice (Cloudflare, opens in a new tab).
How do we use your information?
- To send you the copy of your estimate you asked for.
- To call or text you about it, only if you ticked the consent box.
- To email you once if we start enrolling clients in your state, if you asked us to.
- To keep a record of your consent and of our contact with you.
- To keep this website working and secure, and to stop misuse of it.
- If you accept analytics, to see in total which pages and steps help people, so we can improve them.
The form never asks for account numbers or your Social Security number, so please do not send them through this website.
Who do we share it with?
What you type into this website goes to us alone. We do not sell it or pass it to other debt relief companies or lead buyers. We share it only in these cases.
- Service providers that run this website and store requests for us, such as our hosting service, its security check and the system we use to manage requests. They handle it on our behalf, not for their own marketing.
- Google, for website analytics, only if you accept it. Google receives the page and event details described above, never what you type into the form.
- Government agencies, courts or others when the law requires it.
- A buyer of our business, if it is ever sold, as part of that sale.
If you enroll, we share what your program needs with your dedicated account provider and, with your permission, with the creditors we negotiate with.
How do you stop calls, texts or emails?
Your consent to calls and texts is optional. It is not a condition of getting an estimate or of buying anything from us. Reply STOP to any text, tell us on a call, or call 866-659-7966, and we will stop.
The federal consent rules (eCFR, opens in a new tab) let you take consent back by any reasonable means. Every marketing email we send will include a way to unsubscribe.
How do we protect it, and how long do we keep it?
This website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Companies that handle financial information have security duties under the FTC Safeguards Rule (FTC, opens in a new tab). No website is perfectly secure, which is one reason the form asks for so little.
How long we keep each kind of record is being set with legal counsel and will be stated here. Some records, such as proof of your consent, have to be kept for a period by law.
What choices and rights do you have?
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. To make a request, call 866-659-7966. We will confirm it is you before we act.
Some states give their residents extra privacy rights, such as California (California Attorney General, opens in a new tab). Where a state law gives you more rights than this policy, you have them.
What changes if you become a client?
A federal law, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, sets privacy duties for many companies that help people with credit and debt (FTC guide (FTC, opens in a new tab), Regulation P (CFPB, opens in a new tab)). Clients receive a separate privacy notice for clients when they enroll, as federal financial privacy law requires. That notice explains what we share about clients and any right you have to limit it.
Is this site for children, and will this policy change?
This website and our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
When we change this policy, we change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will say so at the top of the page as well.
